The Forest in the country of Tasgrandium is thick and, in places, dark from the canopy that covers it's floor. In the west of the forest, a single overly large Oak tree towers over the rest. At it's base is a door concealed in magic which is the entrance to the home of the forest witch, Grantula Bleest.
She is known as a witch only because of her powers over the forest and it's creatures. She is a good aligned person, but is of the belief that evil doers to the forest must be treated with equal vengeance.
While she is a powerful magical woman, she uses her magic in small ways and is not willing to use it in ways that are not absolutely necessary.
She is allied to the great forest city of Merlionthis and her queen, Melinda Silkleaf. They call upon her once in a while to help with goblin raiders and other issues that affect the forest.
In the year 1210 Grantula was born from a mother who was a Druid and a Ranger father. They raised her in the forest here and, when she was of age, they sent her off to the Plane of Earth with her mothers'  teacher to train her in the ways of earth magic. Her training was all of 10 years.
When she returned, she found her father was dying of a magical curse put upon him by an evil witch who resided in the mountains of the west. Her mother had died saving him from her attacks. This is when Grantula decided to take up the craft that would kill her father. But, she would do good with the magic once her fathers' death was avenged.
Several years passed and she ran into that evil witch. The fight was long and hard. Her mind took the brunt of the attacks. She slew the witch, but her mind was not the same. She lost all happiness in her heart and became a solitary person, dealing only with the woodland creatures.
After she built her grand tree house home, she was approached by the Queen Melinda Silkleaf. She asked of Grantula to teach some of her court the ways of her magic and asked also for her to become part of the royal court. She excepted and taught twelve elves her magic.
As the Dragon wars went on, in the year 1321 she helped slay "Heestrerkirk" the ancient. A Green wyrm from the forest. His lair contained a staff she carries to this day. It is a Staff of pure nature.*
Among her abilities she is a 15th level Nature Witch. She wears The Robe of Autumn* and carries her staff. Both are described below.
* The Staff of Pure Nature- This staff is made from three kinds of wood. These were trees that were grown together and twisted as they grew. An oak, standing for the strength of the forest,  A beech, standing for the rebirth of the woodlands and a Cherry tree, standing for the fruits of the forest and the life it gives.
This staff, while wonderful to look at, contains a great power. First is an almost full resistance to wild magic. The second, is the ability to move like the wind though the woodlands and the third is the ability to restore the forests trees and other woodland creatures and flora.
* The Robe of Autumn-  This silken green garment bestows the witch with the power to pass without traces, climb like the greatest creatures of the forest and to call any creatures who live within a mile of her home.
This robe is magically tied to the forest and changes colors with the seasons.

Pintrest for your RPGs?

Over two years ago I got turned on to Pintrest by my wife and it's been a wealth of ideas since! I have 80 boards now of D&D and Fantasy ideas for all to share. Some awesome art and maps galore!

I have also created a secret board for my own world and design so that I can come back to it and detail out things I wish to add to Trendon, my fantasy world.

With this blog I am going to attempt to take one pin per week and detail it out and post it here. I'm not very good at keeping a writing schedule but I will try. So come back and check out my ideas and join me on Pintrest! I have 10k followers now and 25k worth of RPG pins to share!
