The Wyrm Scale Shield

The Wyrm Scale is a magical shield made many years ago but a skilled black smith named Grayvin Haryen. He worked out a small shop in the City of Hope.

He had been trained the art of magic to some degree years before and had acquired a  small vile of dragons blood for use in completing this work.                                                                                               

The shield took many years to complete. A special kind of steel was needed and the first attempt to harden the steel broke it.

Engraved upon the face is a dragon who's outline glows when in the area of such a beast. It warns all those near that a dragon approaches

As for the other magical properties of this awesome piece.

It give the person holding it a bonus of +2 AC and an extra bonus of 1 on all rolls vs. dragons breath.

As a drawback to this masterwork of protection. The wielder is at a disadvantage vs. all encounter roll to Dragons and though the shield is magical the weight is 20% more than a standard shield of it's size. Making it almost 8lbs.

GP Value of such an object is around 6,000.
